Sweater Monkeys

We went through Carrie's clothes this week, taking out what was too small. We came across this sweater that was worn by both girls. Carrie did not want to part with it. I said that we could make it into a hat or mittens or a pillow. She liked that idea.

Well then we thought we could make it into a monkey, like a sock monkey, but a "sweater monkey". She loved that idea! I looked online to see if there was a pattern I could follow . I didn't find one but I did learn that the term "sweater monkey" can mean something entirely different (Urban Dictionary definition here).So here is the final result. They turned out great, I think. Here is Erin's, with button eyes - a little more classic, like Erin herself.
Here is Carrie's - a bit more flashy, fashion forward, like Carrie herself.
Notice the faux diamond earrings.
